Memorial Day honors our fallen heroes who have died serving in the U.S. armed forces. This year will be the first time we celebrate the federal holiday together since 2020. So we’ve made this Queens Memorial Day weekend guide especially AWESOME. Expect the best indoor and outdoor fun the borough can offer.

Memorial Day Weekend Parades

The Little Neck-Douglaston Memorial Day parade is said to be the largest in the nation and is one of many Memorial Day parades in Queens.

Sunday, May 29 & Monday, May 30. What would Memorial Day weekend be without parades? Not much fun. So here’s a few to consider: Said to be the largest Memorial Day parade in the nation, the Little Neck-Douglaston Memorial Day Parade starts Monday, May 30 at 2 pm at Jayson Avenue in Great Neck and goes to Northern Boulevard in Douglaston. Sunnyside Gardens Park Fair

Saturday, May 28, 12 pm - 5 pm. The Sunnyside Gardens Park Fair is back and brings a flag-raising ceremony, rides, crafts, face painting and more. There’s also plenty of food and drink: burgers, hot dogs (including vegetarian), beer, wine and hard seltzer. Admission is FREE.
